Trouble in Terrorist Town (TTT) is a multiplayer gamemode within Garry’s Mod. Set in a parody of the Counter-Strike universe.
When the game starts, a small number of players are selected as Traitors, who have to kill all the Innocent players. The Innocent players know they are in the majority, but they do not know who is a Traitor and who is not. Additionally, there are a few Neutral roles, some being evil (Necromancer, Serial Killer) and some being true neutral (Jester, Pirate Captain).
The Traitors must use the element of surprise and their special equipment to their advantage in order to succeed. The Innocent just have to survive, which means finding out who the Traitors are and eliminating them first. This is complicated by the fact that everyone is wielding lethal weaponry, and...
EVERYONE IS GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT!
Note: If you’ve heard of non-digital party games like Werewolf or Mafia, it’s a bit like that but on a computer and with guns.
Innocent
The goal of any innocent is: Survive and kill Traitors. A normal Innocent cannot buy unique weapons/armor. They cannot kill a player without proof (RDM (random deathmatch) is to kill without proof. Is heavily frowned upon). They must use their deduction skills to sniff out the Traitors or evil roles and kill them all or survive until time runs out!
Survivalist
The Survivalist is an enhanced Innocent that has his own shop (Press
Paranoid
An Innocent role. When the Paranoid dies by any means, every player will be alerted of their death via a message in the center of their screen. Their body location will be visible through the walls for a short period of time.
Priest
An Innocent that spawns with a HOLY DEAGLE. The HOLY DEAGLE has 1 shot available on a 45 second cooldown. If an Innocent is shot, they will be confirmed and will become part of the Priest Brotherhood. The Priest Brotherhood is known and confirmed innocent. HOWEVER, if you shoot a traitor with the HOLY DEAGLE, the Priest and all Brotherhood instantly die. Additionally, if you shoot an EVIL role (Necromancer, Serial Killer) you will 1-shot them and all of their zombies.
Wrath
The Wrath is an addition to the Innocent team, but they have a twist. If they are ever killed by a fellow Innocent they will turn against their former allies, and respawn as a Traitor!
IMPORTANT NOTE: You will not know if you are the Wrath, your role will show as Innocent.
The Wrath is revived after 10 seconds as a Traitor. They will then identify as a Traitor and must kill all Innocent and get a standard traitor win.
Innocents kill Wrath. Wrath respawns as Traitor.
Traitors kill Wrath. Wrath dead-o mode. D:
Lycanthrope
The Lycanthrope is an Innocent with hidden strength. If they become the last player standing on their team, their strength is unleashed! They gain a bonus to their speed, sprint regen, and damage. Additionally, they gain extra health, armor, speed, and their health regenerates. The player will only see their role as Innocent until they are the last alive, at which point they will be revealed as the Lycanthrope to all.
Detective
The Detective is a confirmed Innocent role, UNLESS there is a Defective in the round. They have access to their own equipment menu, start with Body Armor and the DNA Scanner by default, and can reveal more information about a corpse including killer location via the DNA Scanner.
Sheriff
The Sheriff is basically the same as a normal detective. However, they have a Deputy Deagle. Whoever is shot with the Deputy Deagle becomes a Deputy and will fight for the Innocents. Their previous team does NOT matter. Oh, were you a traitor and you got shot by the Deputy Deagle? Too bad! If the Sheriff dies, the Deputy will die too (automatically)!
Note: It's an unwritten and not enforced rule to not snitch on your old Traitors if you are Deputized... but if you must, we won't stop you!Spy
The Spy is an Innocent player with a FAKE Traitor shop that tries to blend in with the Traitors, to gain their trust and turn on them! The Traitors see the Spy as their colleague, but the Spy does
Traitor
The Traitors are the main antagonist of the town. Their goal is to kill all other players, besides the Jester, if present. Traitors have a special shop that they can use to their advantage. Can utilize traitor chat to speak to other traitors (T button), UNLESS a Spy is alive.
Mesmerist
The Mesmerist is a Traitor with a special Mesmerist Defibrillator that allows them to revive a dead player as a Thrall for the Traitors. The Mesmerist cannot buy any special weapons/armor.
Defective
Visually and functionally, the Defective operates similarly to a Detective. They use the Detective's shop, have a DNA Scanner, and look like a Detective to those not on their team. However, they are a Traitor: They take up a Traitor's spot and a Traitor test will reveal them as such.
NOTE: The Defective and Detective cannot deal damage to each other.
Pirate Captain
The Pirate Captain is a mercenary, who always fights for the player, which owns his contract. The Pirate Captain spawns with an item called the ‘Contract’. The Contract doesn’t have any direct abilities. It is, however, what binds the Pirate Captain to another player: If the Pirate Captain throws the Contract and it gets picked up by someone, the Pirate Captain will then play for the Contract owner's team. The Pirate Captain don't gain the teammate's abilities, however they do gain their teammate's special items, such as Marker Paint Gun.
Marker
The Marker plays in their own team and has the goal of marking other players with their Marker Paint Gun (found in your '7' or '8' slot). Once they have marked enough of players (by default 3/4 of all players except themselves), they win. Marked players get notified when they are marked, so they do know there's a Marker active in this round. Marked players cannot damage the Marker. The Marker spawns with a Marker Defibrillator that allows them to revive dead players. Revived players keep their role but spawn as marked.
Necromancer
The Necromancer is a neutral evil role with the goal of eliminating all other players besides the Jester. The Necromancer spawns with a special Necromancer Defibrillator that allows them to revive players as Zombie.
Zombie: Revived player that fights for the Necromancer. Spawns with a Deagle with 7 shots. Once the Zombie runs out of shots, they die. Moves extremely slow. Wins with the Necromancer.
Serial Killer
Pretty straightforward, KILL EVERYONE (except Jester). You spawn with a Serial Killer Knife in your '7' slot. You can see every player on the map and have access to a special shop. If you don’t kill anyone for a certain amount of time, your evil will show (smoke particles on your player).
Jester
The Jester simply wants to trick others into killing them. They win the round if they are killed by anyone but themselves or a Pirate Captain who has the Jester's contract. They also deal 0 damage and only exist to cause mass confusion and chaos! There is only a 2% chance that a round has a Jester.
